TET CARE 2026:
“Every Union Member and Worker Will Have a Tet”
(DTO) With the theme “Tet of Reunion – Spring of Gratitude to the Party,” the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labour has developed a plan to bring a warm, compassionate Spring to tens of thousands of union members and workers across the province-especially those in difficult circumstances.
MEANINGFUL IMPACT OF THE “TET OF REUNION” PROGRAM
Affirming its role as a companion to workers, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labour has issued a plan to organize activities caring for workers during Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026.

This is not only an annual activity but also a peak campaign demonstrating the deep concern of the Party, the State, and the Trade Union organization for the working class, in the context of emulation activities celebrating the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The focal point of this year’s care activities is the “Tet of Reunion – Spring of Gratitude to the Party” 2026 program, which is expected to be held at four locations with large concentrations of workers.
At these venues, a joyful Tet atmosphere will be recreated with cultural and artistic performances themed “Workers’ Spring – Faith and Aspiration.”
Notably, the Provincial Federation of Labour will directly present 2,000 gift packages (each valued at VND 500,000–700,000) to union members and workers in difficult and extremely difficult circumstances.
An attractive highlight will be the lucky draw program, featuring practical prizes that meet the daily living needs of union members and workers.
A notable feature of this year’s Tet care efforts is the promotion of the online “Trade Union Tet Market – Spring 2026.”
Accordingly, 5,100 trade union officials and union members have registered with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to shop for discounted goods online, using electronic shopping vouchers worth VND 500,000 each.
With just a few taps on a smartphone, union members can select food and essential consumer goods through the program, supplied by reputable enterprises with clear origins and full customer care policies.
Alongside the online format, in-person Tet markets continue to be organized in industrial parks, featuring discounted stalls and even “zero-dong” products.
LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND
With the goal that “All union members and workers will have Tet,” the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labour plans to support approximately 24,020 gift packages (about 12% of total union members) through visits and assistance.
According to the plan, union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances (such as serious illness, work-related accidents, or natural disasters) will receive VND 700,000 per package from the provincial trade union budget.
Other difficult cases will receive VND 500,000 per package.
At the same time, the Trade Union will continue to award “Trade Union Shelter” houses, helping union members without stable housing welcome Tet in new, decent homes.
At enterprises, trade unions proactively coordinate with employers to organize “Trade Union Year-End Meals,” creating warm, family-like gatherings that foster trust and attachment between workers, enterprises, and the Trade Union.
For workers far from home who cannot return for Tet, trade unions at all levels will organize shuttle buses or provide train and bus ticket support.
Sharing the significance of this year’s activities, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui, Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial Provincial Federation of Labour, stated: “"The 2026 Binh Ngo Tet care program is a strong commitment from the Dong Thap Trade Union to the material and spiritual lives of workers. We hope every gift or year-end meal carries the spirit of sharing so that workers feel heartened when Spring arrives."
This also creates motivation for them to continue bonding with enterprises and enthusiastically engage in production and labor right from the beginning of the new year.”
Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui further emphasized: “The Provincial Federation of Labour directs all trade union levels to carefully review and identify the right beneficiaries, ensuring that support is provided publicly and transparently.
In particular, grassroots trade unions must proactively coordinate with employers to properly implement wage and Tet bonus policies, preventing labor disputes or wage arrears that could affect people’s joy during Tet.”
Beyond gift-giving activities, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labour will also strengthen supervision of labor law compliance during the Tet period.
Provincial Federation working delegations will directly visit and work with enterprises facing difficulties or employing large numbers of workers to grasp their concerns and promptly resolve emerging issues.
With early, thorough, and well-organized preparations, the Tet care activities of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labour are expected to play an important role-together with local authorities-in ensuring social welfare, so that Spring Binh Ngo 2026 truly becomes a Spring of reunion, sharing, and confidence in a brighter new year.
