2026 Lunar New Year's Eve: Dong Thap to Host Fireworks Displays in 8 Administrative Units.

(DTO) On January 22, the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee issued a document on the organization of fireworks displays and live television broadcast points for the 2026 New Year’s art program.

Accordingly, the Provincial People’s Committee approved fireworks displays at eight administrative units, including the wards of Dao Thanh, Cao Lanh, Sa Dec, Hong Ngu, Long Thuan, My Phuoc Tay, and the two communes of Cho Gao and Truong Xuan.

The fireworks will be launched simultaneously at the moment of New Year’s Eve of the Year of the Horse 2026, within the time frame prescribed by competent authorities. Funding for the fireworks displays will come from socialized (non-state) sources.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will take the lead, in coordination with the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, and relevant agencies, to guide and inspect the organization of the fireworks displays in strict accordance with Government Decree No. 137/2020/ND-CP dated November 27, 2020.

The People’s Committees of Dao Thanh, Cao Lanh, Sa Dec, Hong Ngu, Long Thuan, My Phuoc Tay wards, and Cho Gao and Truong Xuan communes are responsible for implementation at the local level, ensuring absolute security and public order, social safety, and fire and explosion prevention.

The Provincial People’s Committee also approved the organization of live television broadcast points for the 2026 New Year’s art program on New Year’s Eve at four localities: Dao Thanh, Cao Lanh, Sa Dec, and Hong Ngu wards.
