Concludes 2026 new recruit training course

(DTO) – On July 25, at the Training - Mobile Battalion, the Dong Thap Provincial Border Guard Command held a closing ceremony for its 2026 new recruit training course.

Over the course of 4.5 months of training, the unit strictly implemented the new recruit training plan, comprising the three-month program prescribed by the Ministry of National Defence and an additional 1.5-month specialised Border Guard training course, ensuring full compliance with the required contents and schedules.

At the conclusion of the training period, 100 percent of the new recruits demonstrated firm political fortitude and strict compliance with military regulations and unit discipline, while thoroughly mastering and proficiently operating their assigned weapons and military hardware. They also firmly grasped fundamental knowledge of Border Guard professional skills, national territory, and Border Guard tactics, while fluently practicing combat tactics at individual, team, and squad levels, alongside drill commands and physical fitness requirements.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Senior Colonel Tran Chi Cuong, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, commended the achievements of cadres and soldiers during the training programme.

He urged the new recruits, upon assignment to their respective units, to continue demonstrating a proactive spirit and sense of responsibility, effectively apply the knowledge they had acquired to practical work, strictly comply with laws and military discipline, heighten vigilance, and foster solidarity to assist comrades-in-arms, teammates, and local residents in their assigned areas. 

He also encouraged them to actively participate in unit and local movements, contributing to firmly safeguarding national independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and border security in the new situation.

On this occasion, the Provincial Border Guard Command awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 24 individuals for their outstanding achievements during the 2026 new recruit training programme.
