100 Gift Packages and Wheelchairs Delivered to Underprivileged Blind and Disabled Persons
(DTO) On the morning of August 7, the Dong Thap Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated a charity event at the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee’s hall, presenting 100 gift packages to blind individuals and three wheelchairs to disabled residents from Dao Thanh, My Tho, and My Phong wards.

The event was attended by Ms. Dang Thi Thu Uyen, Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial Red Cross Society, representatives of the Dong Hung Charity Group, local benefactors, and 100 blind recipients accompanied by their relatives.
Each package, valued at VND 550,000, included 10 kilograms of rice, cash, and essential daily necessities. Additionally, three wheelchairs were donated to individuals facing mobility difficulties.

The total funding for the program exceeded VND 62 million, raised through the networking efforts of Venerable Thich Nguyen Phuc and sponsored by the Dong Hung Charity Group alongside the Ho Chi Minh City-based family of Tri Dao and Hue Tam.

Beyond providing practical material relief, the program served as a profound source of spiritual encouragement, empowering blind and disabled individuals with the resilience to overcome adversity and rebuild their lives. This meaningful humanitarian initiative embodies the spirit of solidarity and the noble Vietnamese ethos of "leaving no one behind."
Through this initiative, the Dong Thap Provincial Red Cross Society continues to fulfill its role as a compassionate bridge, uniting organizations, businesses, and donors to care for vulnerable groups and advance the province's social welfare goals.
