Dong Thap Province convened a conference to announce adjustments to its Provincial Master Plan for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision toward 2050.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and State President To Lam chaired a working session in Ha Noi on May 13 with representatives from ministries, central agencies and relevant bodies to review the organisation and operations of the central steering committees for institutional and legal reform and for judicial reform.

Bui Thi Minh Hoai was re-elected President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee for the 2026-2031 tenure at the first conference of the 11th-term VFF Central Committee, held before the closing session of its 11th National Congress on May 13 morning in Ha Noi.

The 11th Dong Thap Provincial People’s Council for the 2026–2031 tenure convened its Second Session to consider and decide on urgent matters within its jurisdiction.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong – Member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense, and Member of the 16th National Assembly (NA) from Dong Thap Province – along with Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the 16th Dong Thap Provincial NA Delegation. Joining the delegation were NA members from units 4, 5, and 6, including: Mr. Nguyen Minh Son, Mr. Ta Minh Tam, Ms. Nguyen Thị Hong Phuong, and Ms. Hoang Thi Tho. The meeting was attended by residents from My Tho, Dao Thanh, My Phong, Thoi Son, and Trung An wards.
