105 Dreams Given Wings
(DTO) On the morning of January 4, the Dong Thap Press and Radio, Television, in coordination with Tien Giang Lottery One-Member Co., Ltd. and other partners, held the award ceremony for the 2025-2026 “Chap Canh Uoc Mo” (Wings of Dreams) scholarship program.

Among the attendees were Ms. Tran Thi Kim Cuc, former Member of the Party Central Committee and former Secretary of the Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Pham The Vinh, Deputy Head of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda & Mass Mobilization; Mr. Tran Van An, Director of Tien Giang Lottery One-Member Co., Ltd.; Ms. Ngo Thi Ngoc Hanh, Editor-in-Chief of the Dong Thap Press and Radio, Television; along with leaders of provincial departments and scholarship recipients from disadvantaged backgrounds across the province.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the “Wings of Dreams” program awarded 105 scholarships to disadvantaged students in Dong Thap Province, including 25 scholarships for primary students (3 million VND each), 25 for junior secondary students (3 million VND each), 25 for high school students (4 million VND each), and 30 for university students (5 million VND each).
The program’s total funding for 2025-2026 is 400 million VND, sponsored by Tien Giang Lottery One-Member Co., Ltd.


Each scholarship represents a different story and circumstance. Some students have lost both parents; some come from families living on unstable daily wages; some university students work part-time to keep their education going. Their starting points may differ, but they share the same aspiration to stay in school, nurture their dreams, and rise through their own determination.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director Tran Van An said that alongside business operations, Tien Giang Lottery One-Member Co., Ltd. has consistently contributed to social welfare in the province. These efforts include building Great Unity houses and Gratitude houses, awarding scholarships, and supporting disadvantaged individuals, and patients with serious illnesses, helping them receive treatment, overcome hardship, and stabilize their lives.

In 2025, the company allocated 16.3 billion VND to social welfare activities across the province, including funding education and healthcare programs and contributing to various social funds such as the Fund for the Poor, the Children’s Protection Fund, the Fund for Poor Patients, People with Disabilities, and Orphans, the Gratitude Fund, and the Agent Orange Victims’ Fund.


Editor-in-Chief of Dong Thap Press and Radio, Television Ngo Thi Ngoc Hanh expressed her sincere appreciation to former Member of the Party Central Committee Tran Thi Kim Cuc; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; and Tien Giang Lottery One-Member Co., Ltd. for their continued partnership with Dong Thap Press and Radio, Television in carrying out the “Wings of Dreams” scholarship program.
She shared that, in the emotional atmosphere of the first days of 2026, it was a meaningful coincidence that this series of events continues traditions previously established by Ap Bac Newspaper, such as the Ap Bac Running Event and the “Wings of Dreams” scholarship program. Following the merger, the Editorial Board of Dong Thap Press and Radio, Television has remained committed to honoring and promoting the combined strengths of the units.
All previous activities of the former units are being preserved and further developed, ensuring each event retains its own identity while building on the strengths inherited from tradition.
Entering a new chapter, the “Wings of Dreams” scholarship program will continue to cultivate and spread the long-standing value of human development for future generations.

For more than 20 years, the “Wings of Dreams” scholarship program has played an important role in supporting disadvantaged students on their educational journeys.
To date, the program has awarded scholarships to 1,870 students, with a total value of more than 4.146 billion VND. These scholarships have helped disadvantaged students stay in school, pursue their dreams, and grow into individuals who live well and contribute to their communities.
Many former recipients have since graduated, turned their dreams into reality, and have never forgotten the program that lifted them up in their formative years.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Head of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda & Mass Mobilization Pham The Vinh emphasized that the “Wings of Dreams” scholarship program is a profoundly meaningful initiative.
It reflects the social responsibility and long-term commitment of the Dong Thap Newspaper & Radio, Television and businesses in supporting disadvantaged students, giving them confidence and motivation to study and strive forward in life.
