(DTO) On the morning of January 29, Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television held the 2026 Conference of Public Employees and Workers. The conference aimed to review the implementation of tasks and emulation movements in 2025, assess the execution of the Resolution of the Employees and Workers Conference, and discuss and agree on key directions, tasks, and important regulations for 2026.

The year 2025 was of special significance for the organization in the context of the merger of Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television with Ap Bac Newspaper and Tien Giang Radio & Television.

Under the leadership and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Committee, the Editorial Board proactively and decisively implemented synchronized tasks to stabilize its apparatus while ensuring the successful fulfillment of the province's political and socio-economic information and communication duties across all journalistic platforms

According to the summary report on the 2025 emulation movement, the organization conducted comprehensive and timely coverage of major political events of the province and the country, with no errors in political viewpoints or subjective technical mistakes.

The quality of news reports and programs on radio, television, print newspapers, online newspapers, and digital platforms was gradually improved. Many programs, thematic features, documentaries, game shows, and sports events created strong public impact, contributing to affirming the role of the province’s key press agency.

Emulation and commendation work continued to receive attention, closely linked to the assignment of specific targets and tasks to each professional department. As a result, many collectives and individuals met or exceeded registered targets, while numerous initiatives and practical solutions were recognized, contributing to improved operational efficiency.

The conference also heard a report on the implementation of the Resolution of the Employees and Workers Conference during the last five months of 2025, emphasizing the effective implementation of grassroots democracy regulations, ensuring transparency in management and administration, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of public employees and workers, and gradually overcoming difficulties after the merger to bring operations into stability and order.

At the conference, public employees and workers discussed and contributed opinions on the draft Internal Expenditure Regulation for 2026 and the Regulation on the implementation of bonus policies in accordance with Government Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP, demonstrating a strong spirit of democracy, responsibility, and consensus within the organization.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Ngo Thi Ngoc Hanh, Editor-in-Chief of Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television, acknowledged and praised the efforts and dedication of all public employees and workers over the past year, and called on the collective to continue promoting solidarity, innovation, and creativity to successfully accomplish political and professional tasks in 2026, contributing to the continued strong and sustainable development of Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television.

Also speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Vo Duc Trung called on the organization to further promote emulation movements, especially those adapting to the digital era. He emphasized that the Trade Union should foster in-depth emulation movements focused on innovation in digital transformation, encouraging public employees and workers to create digital journalism products.

At the same time, the Trade Union should continue coordinating with authorities to effectively implement grassroots democracy regulations, while paying close attention to improving the lives of union members and workers.
