Business Confidence in Dong Thap’s New Development Vision

Beyond setting ambitious growth targets and a long-term development plan, Dong Thap has demonstrated its commitment to building a transparent, stable, and business-friendly investment environment. Clear planning information, along with concrete commitments from local authorities to improve infrastructure, support investors, and promote sustainable development, has helped reinforce trust and attract interest from both domestic and international enterprises and strategic investors. 

According to representatives of the business community, the new master plan not only opens up substantial development space for industry, urban areas, high-tech agriculture, and logistics, but also lays a crucial foundation for Dong Thap to enhance competitiveness, maximize its inherent strengths, and pursue fast and sustainable growth in the new phase.

Opening New Development Prospects for Dong Thap 

The adjusted master plan for Dong Thap Province for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision toward 2050, is a highly significant milestone. It reflects the provincial leadership’s strategic vision, reform mindset, and strong determination in setting socio-economic development directions for the new era. 

We believe that this adjustment will help optimize local resources, leverage Dong Thap’s competitive advantages, and create favorable conditions for attracting investors, developing infrastructure, improving people’s quality of life, and promoting sustainable growth. 

Dong Thap plays an essential role in Vietnam’s aquaculture value chain. We hope that the new master plan will further strengthen the province’s position and gradually turn Dong Thap into a strategic hub for agriculture and processing nationwide.

Proposing a “Five-Pronged Strategy” to Accompany Dong Thap’s Development 

Information from the province goes beyond transparency in planning. It also includes concrete commitments from state management agencies toward businesses and entrepreneurs like us. With plans to develop 48 urban areas, 24 industrial parks, and 66 industrial clusters, I believe that with such ambition, the province has sufficient conditions and confidence to implement long-term strategies, using this as a solid foundation to realize its development aspirations. 

To accompany the province, we propose a “five-pronged strategy” aimed at creating sustainable and comprehensive development. It includes investing in high-quality education, developing advanced local healthcare systems to retain talent and reduce pressure on major hospitals, unlocking financial resources to accelerate trade growth, transitioning from “traditional farmers” to “agribusiness farmers”, ensuring that commercial banks and more than 30 local credit funds take responsibility for providing direct capital to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and farmers. 

With this joint effort, combined with the transparency of the local authorities, we believe that the province’s potential can be transformed into real competitive advantages on the regional economic map. It also reflects Dong Thap’s determination and strategic approach to investment attraction, helping enhance its appeal to both domestic and foreign enterprises. With its new development directions and abundant investment opportunities, Dong Thap is steadily emerging as a bright spot, drawing strong interest and investment waves from various investors within and beyond Vietnam. 

Over nearly 20 years of establishment, development, and close partnership with Dong Thap, Long Jiang Industrial Park has consistently received dedicated support and guidance from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee, as well as relevant departments and local authorities. This foundation has enabled us to align ourselves with the province’s development orientation and achieve positive outcomes in industrial park investment and infrastructure development. 

As an investor, we place great importance on Dong Thap’s new master plan and look forward to further opportunities to study, connect, and collaborate on future projects. With Long Jiang Industrial Park nearly fully occupied, we hope to continue exploring and participating in the planning and development of new industrial park infrastructure in the province. We are also particularly interested in worker housing projects as well as urban and service development plans that are synchronously integrated with industrial zones.
