The “Tan Thuan Tay Night” experiential space was first established in July 2024. By the end of October 2025, it had been in operation for 50 weekends, held every Saturday afternoon. However, from October 2025 until now, the activities were temporarily suspended.

Recognizing the effectiveness and positive impact of this space, the ward authorities decided to consolidate and relaunch the “Tan Thuan Tay Night” experiential space.

Visitors experience the traditional hand-rolled tobacco craft of Cao Lanh locals.

Specifically, the “Tan Thuan Tay Night” experiential space takes place from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. every Saturday at Thuan Tan Hoi Quan (Group 3, Tan Dan Quarter).

Here, visitors can embark on a unique and engaging journey to explore the cultural life of the Mekong Delta through visits to a century-old traditional house; hands-on experiences such as drying anchovies, learning the traditional hand-rolled tobacco craft of Cao Lanh residents, pounding rice crackers, grilling crackers, and making traditional folk cakes.

In addition, visitors can enjoy amateur folk music (Đờn ca tài tử) exchanges, try traditional fishing techniques, take part in folk games, savor local specialty dishes, and shop for OCOP products and typical agricultural goods of the locality.

Vice Chairwoman of the Cao Lanh Ward People’s Committee, Ms. Ho Hue Thu Hang, said: “The consolidation and relaunch of the ‘Tan Thuan Tay Night’ experiential space aims to create a distinctive nighttime community-based tourism product, contributing to the promotion of the traditional cultural beauty of the Mekong Delta. At the same time, it helps preserve and promote traditional handicrafts associated with the development of trade, services, and community tourism, creating sustainable livelihoods for local residents.

This also affirms that the local authorities will continue to accompany and support the community in more practical ways, focusing on improving the experiential tour content with greater cultural depth, so that each activity truly touches visitors’ hearts.”

A large number of tourists visit the “Tan Thuan Tay Night” experiential space.

In the coming time, the Cao Lanh Ward People’s Committee will invest in upgrading facilities, diversifying experiential activities, and building a professional service team imbued with the distinctive character of the Mekong Delta. Special attention will be paid to visitor safety, food hygiene and safety, and environmental sanitation, toward green and sustainable tourism development.
