Dong Thap: 2026 Vietnam Fruit Week Opens
(DTO) On the afternoon of June 4, the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, in collaboration with Central Retail Vietnam, held the opening ceremony of Vietnam Fruit Week 2026 at GO! My Tho Shopping Mall (Dao Thanh Ward, Dong Thap Province).

Attending the event were Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director General of the Domestic Market Management and Development Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, representatives of provincial departments and agencies, delegates from provinces and cities participating in the event, including Dak Lak, Vinh Long, Tay Ninh, Son La, Bac Ninh, and Can Tho City, along with a large number of local residents.
This marks the fifth edition of Vietnam Fruit Week, which aims to elevate Vietnamese agriculture and create new opportunities for farmers and producers.
This year’s event brings together more than 50 enterprises, cooperatives, farming households, and OCOP producers from provinces and cities nationwide. It also features business networking activities connecting 42 enterprises, cooperatives, and producers with Central Retail Vietnam’s procurement team.
In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, including complimentary tastings of specialty dishes made from Go Cong clams, a durian buffet, fruit sampling sessions, and exhibitions and sales of fruit-based products as well as regional OCOP-certified specialties.
At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director General of the Domestic Market Management and Development Department, highly praised the collaborative model linking government agencies, businesses, and farmers in developing agricultural markets.
He noted that trade promotion programs such as Fruit Week play a practical role in enhancing the value of agricultural products, helping farmers gain access to modern distribution systems, and promoting the development of sustainable value chains.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that Vietnam Fruit Week 2026 is a pivotal activity within the First Dong Thap Fruit Week, helping promote the province’s signature fruits, connect businesses and investors, and expand market opportunities.

The Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Dieu expressed appreciation for the partnership of Central Retail Vietnam in bringing Dong Thap fruits closer to consumers, while reinforcing the importance of health benefits, food safety, and a quality shopping experience.
Dong Thap Province will continue promoting ecological agriculture, applying science and technology, advancing digital transformation, improving product traceability, and enhancing product quality to meet both domestic and export market demands.
Through the event, the province hopes to strengthen cooperation among farmers, businesses, and distribution networks, thereby increasing the value of the fruit sector and improving producers’ incomes.

Vietnam Fruit Week 2026 runs from June 4 to June 7, 2026 at GO! My Tho Shopping Center. The program is also being rolled out across the nationwide GO!, Tops Market, and mini go! retail systems, featuring a wide range of promotional offers for consumers.
