Dong Thap: 99.4% of Candidates Turn Out for 2026 National High School Graduation Exam Procedures

(DTO) On the afternoon of June 10, candidates at 71 examination sites across Dong Thap Province gathered to complete exam registration, correct personal data errors, and hear exam regulations ahead of the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination. According to the provincial Department of Education and Training (DOET), the candidate turnout rate reached 99.4%.

That same afternoon, Dr. Le Quang Tri, Director of the Dong Thap Department of Education and Training, conducted an on-site inspection of exam preparations at Doc Binh Kieu - Cai Lay High School Examination Site. Following the inspection, the DOET Director highly praised the proactiveness of the examination sites in readying facilities, personnel, and logistics for the exam.

He also directed invigilators to strictly enforce regulations, elevate their sense of responsibility, and ensure a safe, serious, and compliant examination. Given the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and smartphone-based problem-solving apps, exam officials were urged to tighten surveillance both inside and outside exam rooms to promptly detect and prevent high-tech cheating.

On this occasion, the Director of the provincial DOET also visited and encouraged teachers and staff on exam duty, while wishing candidates composure and confidence to ace their exams and secure their desired results.

According to our reporters, preparations at all examination sites throughout the province have been completed. At Tran Hung Dao High School Examination Site (in Dao Thanh Ward), facilities, exam paper storage rooms, medical rooms, official exam rooms, backup rooms, and waiting rooms have been fully equipped to meet organizational requirements.

Teacher Le Cong Tu, head of the Tran Hung Dao High School Examination Site, stated that all logistics were virtually complete, ensuring a safe and disciplined exam environment. During the registration session, the site recorded a 99.03% turnout, with 716 out of 722 candidates present.

At Cao Lanh High School Examination Site (in Cao Lanh Ward), around 630 candidates arrived early for registration. The school has arranged 27 official exam rooms, three backup rooms, and two waiting rooms, while beefing up security. Concurrently, the school’s Youth Union and the “Exam Season Support” volunteer team joined forces to provide free drinking water and lunches for disadvantaged candidates.

Candidate Ho Nguyen Gia Bao, a senior at Cao Lanh High School, shared: “My classmates and I have spent months consolidating our knowledge and practicing with mock exams. At this point, I feel thoroughly prepared, fully confident, and determined to tackle the first subject.”

Meanwhile, candidate Tran Nguyet Thanh said that detailed guidance from invigilators regarding exam regulations and permitted items helped alleviate pre-exam anxiety. “With the knowledge accumulated over 12 years of schooling, we are determined to do our best to achieve our goals,” Thanh said.

The registration process at Nguyen Quang Dieu High School for the Gifted Examination Site (in My Tra Ward) took place in a serious and orderly manner. The site hosts approximately 700 registered candidates across 29 well-equipped exam rooms.

According to the Dong Thap DOET, the province-wide candidate turnout for registration, data verification, and regulatory briefings reached 99.4%. On the morning of June 11, candidates will sit for their first subject, Literature, with a testing duration of 120 minutes.
