Dong Thap and Ca Mau Share Experience to Enhance Journalism Quality

(DTO) On the morning of August 13, Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television welcomed a delegation from Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio, Television for a visit, working session and exchange of experience in newsroom organization and management, digital transformation, and journalistic expertise and practices. 

Attending the working session, Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television was represented by Deputy Directors Nguyen Trong Tan and Nguyen Duy Phuc Huy, along with leaders of its departments. The Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio, Television was led by Director Lam Ho Sy, with Deputy Director Ngo Minh Toan and leaders and staff from its professional departments also in attendance. 

At the working session, leaders of Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television gave an overview of the organization and restructuring of its apparatus; newsroom management and operations; radio and television programs, specialized pages and sections; and content production for digital platforms. The unit also shared experience in digital transformation, developing social media platforms, and organizing multimedia, multiplatform content production to meet the increasingly diverse needs of audiences. 

Leaders of the professional departments of Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television also shared practical experience in their respective areas, focusing on the production of local news pages and sections, radio and television programs, and game shows. Many programs have been renewed in both content and presentation, helping attract readers, viewers and listeners. 

The two units also exchanged views on organizational structure and the development of job positions aligned with their functions and responsibilities; economic-technical norms and unit prices for commissioned press products; payment mechanisms for royalties and remuneration; as well as management, finance, investment, and content production on digital platforms. 

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Director of Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television Nguyen Trong Tan expressed his appreciation to the Ca Mau delegation for visiting and sharing experience. 

He said that as the journalism sector accelerates digital transformation, greater exchange and experience sharing among local media agencies will help improve the quality of professional and journalistic activities, as well as the effectiveness of serving the public. 

Deputy Director Nguyen Trong Tan expressed his hope that following the working session, the two units would continue to maintain their cooperative relationship and strengthen the exchange of experience in content production, digital transformation, and the development of press products suited to modern media trends. 

Representatives of Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio, Television thanked Dong Thap Newspaper and Radio, Television for its warm welcome and open sharing, while highly appreciating its practical experience in newsroom organization and management as well as multiplatform content production. These experiences will provide a useful basis for Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio, Television to study and apply as appropriate in the process of developing a converged, multimedia and multiplatform newsroom model.
