The drill saw the participation of over 400 officers, soldiers, and coordinated forces, along with numerous modern vehicles and equipment.

According to the simulated scenario, a mixed gas explosion and fire broke out on the third floor of the rice cracker production workshop of Want Want Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Long Giang Industrial Park.
The facility’s on-site firefighting and rescue team promptly guided staff and workers on each floor to evacuate safely via stairways.
The facility’s fire alarm unit quickly reported the incident to company leaders, the professional Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police, and relevant forces for coordinated response.

Upon receiving the fire alert, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Division of Dong Thap Provincial Police swiftly dispatched firefighting and rescue forces and vehicles to the scene. Additional support was mobilized from the Western Firefighting Unit, the Cai Lay and Go Cong area firefighting teams, and on-site firefighting teams from neighboring companies to coordinate firefighting and rescue operations.

After nearly 30 minutes of determined and coordinated efforts, the fire was completely brought under control and extinguished, with no risk of reignition.
The drill was conducted in a disciplined and well-coordinated manner, demonstrating effective cooperation among police, military, medical services, on-site units, and provincial functional forces. The activity aimed to enhance practical response skills and preparedness for large-scale fire and explosion incidents.

Speaking at the drill, Colonel Tran Van Tron emphasized that the exercise reflected the strong commitment of provincial leaders, close inter-agency coordination, and the high sense of responsibility of Want Want Vietnam Co., Ltd. in implementing fire prevention and rescue measures.
The drill reaffirmed the determination of the entire political system and local people to proactively prevent and respond to emergencies, protect lives and property, and maintain public security and safety in support of the province’s socio-economic development.
This routine yet highly important activity provided participants with essential knowledge and professional skills while enhancing inter-force coordination. The thorough preparation, realistic scenario, and deployment of modern equipment accurately reflected the complex and unexpected nature of real-life firefighting and rescue operations.

On this occasion, the Provincial People’s Committee and the Board of Directors of Dong Thap Provincial Police awarded certificates of merit and commendations to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing the large-scale firefighting and rescue drill at Want Want Vietnam Co., Ltd.
