Dong Thap Honors Medical Team with Provincial Certificates of Merit For Life-Saving ECMO Treatment

(DTO) On the morning of September 8, Tien Giang General Hospital in Dong Thap Province held a ceremony to commend units and individuals for their extraordinary, ad-hoc achievements in successfully deploying extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), which saved a critically ill patient.

A representative of the Dong Thap Department of Home Affairs announced the decision of the Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee to present ad-hoc Certificates of Merit to the Intensive Care and Poison Control Department and five individuals. They were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the emergency treatment of critically ill patients using ECMO, making an important contribution to protecting patient lives and enhancing the capacity for specialized intensive care in the locality.

At the ceremony, the Director of Tien Giang General Hospital also presented Certificates of Commendation and cash rewards to 13 doctors and medical staff from the Intensive Care and Poison Control Department and Internal Medicine Department A for their swift and outstanding success in the emergency care, treatment, and nursing of critical patients utilizing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation technology.
