(DTO) The Dong Thap Department of Industry and Trade has issued guidance for local agencies, organizations, and individuals to implement the Provincial People's Committee's Plan No. 827/KH-UBND on stockpiling and supplying essential goods for the Lunar New Year.

The focal points of the plan include price registration and supply assurance. Participating units are required to register specific retail prices-including specifications, brands, categories, and quality standards for each essential item-with the Department of Industry and Trade. They must also commit to stockpiling sufficient quantities and ensuring the quality of goods as planned, with priority given to Vietnamese products.

Essential goods are supplied in sufficient quantities to meet consumer demand during the Lunar New Year.

To help residents easily identify market-stabilization sales points, these outlets are required to display identification banners with the following specifications:
Content: “MARKET-STABILIZATION SALES POINT SERVING THE 2026 LUNAR NEW YEAR (YEAR OF THE HORSE)”.
Design: Red background with yellow lettering; size appropriate to the sales location.
Implementation period: Two months, from January 19, 2026 (the 1st day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake) through March 18, 2026 (the 30th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Horse).

My Tho Trade and Service Cooperative displays the market-stabilization banner with a red background and yellow lettering in accordance with regulations of the Department of Industry and Trade.

The Department of Industry and Trade has requested participating enterprises to submit periodic reports on the implementation of the plan. Reports should be sent to the Division of Trade Management, Department of Industry and Trade of Dong Thap Province (Address: No. 387 Hung Vuong Street, Dao Thanh Ward), or via the designated contacts: Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, Head of the Division of Trade Management (Tel: 0902 854 077); Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Sang, officer of the Division of Trade Management (Tel: 0939 826 984).

The early and proactive implementation of the goods stockpiling plan aims to balance supply and demand, stabilize market prices, and help residents shop with confidence ahead of the upcoming traditional Lunar New Year.
