Dong Thap: Launching Peak Day to Join Hands in Building New Rural Areas

(DTO) On September 20, the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union organized the launch of the Peak Volunteer Day to Join Hands in Building New Rural Areas, the 4th Green Sunday, and the 2026 "Clean Up the World" Campaign. The high-profile event rallied over 3,500 youth union members and young volunteers.
 

At the provincial-level hub in Cho Gao commune, the Provincial Youth Union's Standing Committee launched the 3rd Peak Volunteer Day to Join Hands in Building New Rural Areas with a series of highly practical initiatives. The program distributed 20 gift packages-each containing a helmet, notebooks, and a backpack valued at 500,000 VND, totaling 10 million VND - to local students. Additionally, a 10-million-VND youth employment fund was officially handed over.

Immediately following the kick-off, youth union members and young people planted trees along a 1.7-km stretch of Ngo Van Tan Street in Binh Hoa Hamlet,  fostering a bright, green, clean, and civilized rural landscape.

Concurrently, at the second provincial-level hub in Trung An ward, local youth simultaneously responded to the 4th Green Sunday and the 2026 "Clean Up the World" Campaign. Volunteers cleared debris, collected waste, and beautified streets and residential areas. They also guided citizens through digital integration, helping them link their health, social, and welfare insurance data with the VNeID application.

Simultaneously, youth union forces across 102 communes, wards, and subordinate chapters provincial-wide hit the ground running with practical, community-centered projects. These efforts focused on waste management, tree planting, road maintenance, and rural beautification, alongside driving digital literacy and tech-accessibility for locals.

This province-wide blitz not only underscores the pioneering and volunteer spirit of the Pink Lotus Land's youth in rural development and digital transformation, but also fosters a green lifestyle and community accountability, shaping a modern and civilized future for the locality.
