Dong Thap Leaders Host Pacific Construction Group to Explore Investment Ties

(DTO) On the morning of May 8, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Thap People’s Committee, chaired a working session with a delegation from Pacific Construction Group (China). The delegation was led by the Group’s Founder, Yan Jiehe, seeking to explore strategic investment opportunities in the province.

Mr. Yan Jiehe highlighted the Group’s standing as a leading Chinese private enterprise specializing in infrastructure investment, construction, and management. Marking his second visit to Dong Thap, Mr. Yan Jiehe emphasized his philosophy of "building friendship before partnership." Having already established a successful track record across Vietnam, the Group expressed its ambition to soon formalize cooperation with Dong Thap.

Through its research, the group highly appreciated Dong Thap’s potential, advantages and socio-economic development achievements. Mr. Yan Jiehe expressed his hope that Dong Thap would facilitate the group’s surveys and exploration of opportunities to implement infrastructure construction investment projects, thereby contributing to the province’s socio-economic development and investment attraction efforts.

During the session, Chairman Pham Thanh Ngai welcomed Pacific Construction Group’s interest in exploring cooperation and investment opportunities in the locality. He also provided an overview of the province’s potential and strengths, particularly its favorable geographical location, connectivity advantages and notable socio-economic development results achieved in recent years.

Regarding the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Chairman Pham Thanh Ngai suggested that both parties maintain constant communication and intensify working-level discussions to identify feasible projects for future collaboration.

Chairman Pham Thanh Ngai reaffirmed that Dong Thap is committed to accompanying investors. He designated the Department of Finance as the primary liaison to provide information and address the Group’s inquiries, ensuring that the cooperation and survey process yields practical and effective results.
