Dong Thap Lotus Festival 2026 Themed “Come Hear the Lotus Tell Its Story”

(DTO) The Cao Lanh Ward People’s Committee has developed plans for the 3rd Dong Thap Lotus Festival, featuring a wide range of exciting activities. 

According to the plan, the ward’s People's Committee, in coordination with provincial departments, agencies, and relevant organizations, will organize the Dong Thap Lotus Festival under the theme “Come Hear the Lotus Tell Its Story” from June 18 to 21. The event is expected to meet the expectations of residents, businesses, and visitors while expanding opportunities for investment connections, trade promotion, tourism marketing, and the sustainable development of the lotus sector. 

Nguyen Hung Trang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Cao Lanh Ward Party Committee, said that the Dong Thap Lotus Festival is not only one of the province’s signature cultural and tourism events but has also established itself as a bridge for trade promotion, investment cooperation, local branding, and the elevation of the lotus sector. Therefore, the lotus theme should be consistently reflected throughout all festival activities, creating connections among lotus-associated destinations and localities across the country. 

This year’s festival will feature the “Lotus Road” space, artistic lantern displays, and “Lotus in the City” decorations, alongside trade, promotional, and tourism activities. Visitors can explore exhibition areas showcasing the lotus-based value chain, OCOP-certified products, and regional specialties. Other highlights include a business matching conference for lotus-based products and Dong Thap’s OCOP-certified products, the lotus-themed seminar “The Pink Lotus Land Reaching Far Through Connections,” displays of domestic and international lotus varieties, and a Lotus-Based Food Street. 

The Dong Thap Lotus Festival aims to honor the lotus flower while promoting the cultural and economic value of products derived from Dong Thap’s lotus plants. The event also seeks to support the development of lotus cultivation linked to tourism, strengthen the province’s image, create distinctive tourism products, attract domestic and international visitors, and contribute to local socio-economic development.
