Dong Thap Marks the 2026 Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control
(DTO) To raise public awareness and strengthen community involvement in drug prevention and control, Dong Thap Province has launched a series of activities to mark the 2026 Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control.
On June 27, the Provincial Police Department organized a live broadcast of the public rally and held a community fun run in support of the campaign “United in Building Drug-Free Communes, Wards, and Special Zones.”

Attending the event were Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Dong Thap Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Major General Lam Phuoc Nguyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Police Department.

At the event, provincial leaders and more than 2,500 residents took part in the community run in support of the campaign “United in Building Drug-Free Communes, Wards, and Special Zones.” The organizers hope the program will inspire broad community participation, encouraging officials, Youth Union members, young people, and residents to take part while strengthening public awareness and shared responsibility in preventing and combating drug abuse.
These activities help bring drug prevention and control efforts closer to the public, encourage greater community engagement, and contribute to building safe, drug-free communities, laying a foundation for sustainable socio-economic development.
