Dong Thap: Opening of the Examination Council for the 2025-2026 National Merit Exam for Gifted High School Students
(DTO) On December 24, at Tien Giang High School for the Gifted, the Proctoring Council for the National Excellent Student Selection Exam for high schools in the academic year 2025-2026 in Dong Thap Province held the opening ceremony of the examination.
This year, Dong Thap Province has 180 candidates, organized into nine subject teams: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, Informatics, and English. These are outstanding students who have been carefully selected and intensively trained from high schools across the province.

To ensure objectivity and strictness, the Ministry of Education and Training deployed officials and teachers from Lam Dong and Tay Ninh provinces, along with lecturers from Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, to oversee the examination. Simultaneously, the Dong Thap Department of Education and Training has fully prepared facilities, equipment, and personnel to ensure the exam is conducted safely and in compliance with regulations.

Dr. Le Quang Tri, Director of the Dong Thap Department of Education and Training, commended and recognized the dedication of the 180 outstanding students representing thousands of high schoolers in the province. With high determination, these students have continuously strived in their studies and intensive training throughout the preparation process.
The National Excellent Student Selection Exam for high schools in the academic year 2025–2026 aims to encourage both teachers and students to promote creativity, effective teaching and academic excellence.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, candidates were briefed on exam regulations to ensure the examination is conducted safely and in full compliance with rules. The exam takes place over two days, from December 25 to 26.
Specifically, on December 25, candidates sit written exams in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, Russian, French, Chinese and Japanese, while Informatics candidates take computer-based programming tests.
On December 26, candidates will continue with written tests in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; speaking tests in English, Russian, French, Chinese, and Japanese; and computer programming for Informatics.
