(DTO) With the spirit of “leaving no one behind,” the Party Committee and authorities of An Long Commune proactively implemented early plans to care for residents during Tet Binh Ngo 2026.

By mobilizing combined social resources, the locality delivered meaningful gifts, helping ensure social welfare and strengthen the bond between Party and people in the new spring season.

Strictly implementing Central and provincial directives and resolutions on organizing the Lunar New Year 2026 under the motto “Joyful, healthy, safe, and economical,” from the final days of 2025, the An Long Commune Party Committee identified Tet care for residents as a key political task.

This effort is not only the responsibility of grassroots authorities but also a concrete expression of the viewpoint “People are the root,” closely linking economic development with social equity.

Under the close leadership of the Party Committee, the People’s Committee of An Long Commune issued a comprehensive plan, assigning clear responsibilities to each unit. The guiding principle was consistently implemented: to provide Tet care “early and proactively,” ensuring transparency and correct beneficiaries.

The review of poor households and policy-beneficiary families was conducted rigorously at the grassroots level, avoiding overlaps or omissions. This proactive approach demonstrated the local government’s administrative capacity in effectively implementing social welfare policies.

Within the grassroots political system, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Long Commune affirmed its core role as a hub connecting social resources. Promoting the national tradition of solidarity and mutual support, the Front diversified mobilization methods-from encouraging internal community contributions to seeking support from businesses and benefactors inside and outside the locality.

According to statistics, during Tet Binh Ngo 2026, the commune mobilized and distributed 796 gift packages to disadvantaged groups, with a total value exceeding VND 322 million. These figures represent not merely statistics but the consensus between Party will and people’s trust.

The active participation of the community reflects strong public confidence in the leadership of the commune Party Committee, forming a solid “people’s unity front” in social welfare work.

This year’s Tet care activities in An Long commune also received responsible support from economic organizations.

Notably, through the program “Loving Spring – Sharing Tet,” PVFCCo (Petrovietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation) and Petrovietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer JSC (Southwest Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Company) coordinated with local authorities to present 75 practical gift packages, strengthening solidarity between workers and farmers.

Continuing this spirit, the Dong Thap branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies also presented 100 gift packages worth VND 50 million to local residents.

Beyond material support, the Party Committee and People’s Committee of An Long Commune paid special attention to improving residents’ spiritual life. Cultural, artistic, and sports activities celebrating the Party and the Spring were organized vibrantly, reflecting the distinctive riverine culture of the Mekong Delta.

The rural landscape was beautified through urban renovation, environmental sanitation, and the display of national flags along major roads.

At the same time, the locality strengthened efforts to ensure public security, traffic safety, and food hygiene, determined to provide residents with a safe and peaceful Tet holiday.

Speaking about these efforts, Mr. Huynh Thanh Truong, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of An Long Commune, affirmed: “Caring for residents during Tet is identified as a key political task. Therefore, we proactively mobilized resources early to ensure timeliness, transparency, and proper beneficiaries, with the highest goal that every household and every person can enjoy Tet.”

The decisive leadership and dedicated service of the commune Party Committee and authorities have composed a song of compassion.

Spring Binh Ngo 2026 is clearly reflected in the smiles of lonely elderly people and the joy of disadvantaged families receiving Tet gifts.

The model “Solidarity Spring – Spreading Compassion” in An Long stands out as a highlight in effective mass mobilization work, demonstrating the strength of great national unity when Party will aligns with people’s hearts—creating a solid foundation for successfully achieving socio-economic goals in the new year.
