Dong Thap Provincial Leaders Visit and Present Gifts to Workers on Lunar New Year’s Eve
(DTO) On the evening of February 16, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor organized a program for provincial leaders to visit, extend Lunar New Year greetings, and present gifts to union members and workers on duty during Lunar New Year’s Eve of the Year of the Horse 2026.
Accordingly, the delegation visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to union members and workers of Dong Thap Water Supply and Urban Environment Joint Stock Company (My Tra ward); and to doctors and medical staff on duty at the Emergency Department and Pediatric Emergency Department of Dong Thap General Hospital (My Ngai ward).
Mr. Phan Van Thang acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility of doctors, nurses, environmental workers, and water supply and drainage staff in ensuring medical examination and treatment; providing clean water; maintaining environmental sanitation; and serving the people to celebrate a safe and complete Lunar New Year.
According to the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, on this occasion, 818 union members and workers on duty during Lunar New Year’s Eve received Lunar New Year gifts. Each gift was valued at VND 500,000, with a total budget of VND 409 million sourced from the provincial Trade Union’s financial fund. |
* Also on the evening of February 16 (the 29th day of the Lunar New Year’s Eve of the Year of the Horse 2026), a delegation led by Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Dong Thap province, visited, extended Lunar New Year greetings, and presented gifts to doctors and medical staff at Tien Giang General Hospital.
Joining the delegation was Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui, President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor.
There, Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong inquired about medical examination and treatment activities; acknowledged the efforts of doctors and medical staff who were on duty 24/7, ready to receive, provide emergency care, and treat patients during the Lunar New Year holidays.
Ms. Chau Thi My Phuong extended New Year wishes to all hospital staff and expressed hope that the hospital would continue improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and effectively fulfill its mission of caring for and protecting people’s health.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 46 Lunar New Year gift packages to doctors, officials, public employees, and workers on duty on Lunar New Year’s Eve at the Emergency Department and Pediatric Emergency Department of Tien Giang General Hospital.
The delegation then visited, extended Lunar New Year greetings, and presented gifts to workers on duty during Lunar New Year’s Eve at Hung Vuong Square (Dao Thanh ward).
Amid the festive atmosphere welcoming the New Year, workers continued diligently collecting waste and improving the landscape to ensure a green – clean – beautiful environment for people to celebrate the Lunar New Year safely and civilly. The delegation acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility of officials and workers of My Tho Urban Works One-Member Limited Liability Company for overcoming difficulties and sacrificing family reunion moments to fulfill their duties.
The delegation extended wishes for a prosperous and happy New Year to all workers and laborers, expressing hope that the unit would continue promoting solidarity, improving service quality, and contributing to building an increasingly civilized and modern locality.
