Weng Ming Zhao, Chairman of the Members’ Council of Long Jiang Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., speaks during the meeting with the working delegation.

Enterprises requested that the province introduce additional recruitment channels and increase the organization of job fairs, labor exchanges, and connections between enterprises and localities with abundant labor supply, as well as universities, colleges, and vocational schools. They also asked for support in disseminating recruitment information through official channels to help enterprises quickly address labor shortages, ensure production progress, and provide job opportunities for local workers.

At the same time, enterprises are researching and planning to transition to green energy solutions, particularly solar power, to reduce electricity consumption and CO2 emissions, contributing to the goal of implementing the Prime Minister’s National Green Growth Strategy for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Speaking during the working session, Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong commended the achievements of enterprises in the industrial park. He expressed hope that businesses would continue to build on their results and work together toward stronger, more sustainable development while enhancing their reputation in the years ahead.

For the infrastructure investor, he requested strengthened coordination with state management agencies in operating the park, with special attention to environmental protection, public security, and legal compliance.

Provincial departments, sectors, and local authorities were urged to continue supporting enterprises to stabilize operations and develop. However, he stressed that growth ultimately depends heavily on the enterprises themselves, their production capacity, export capability, and ability to expand markets.

Addressing enterprises’ recommendations, Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong noted that labor requirements, especially foreign language proficiency, are increasingly high. Therefore, companies must develop plans to train and improve workers’ skills to meet recruitment needs and gradually reduce dependence on foreign labor.

Regarding social housing, the industrial park has thousands of workers, yet housing supply remains limited. Provincial departments and sectors were tasked with urgently studying and proposing social housing solutions, possibly combined with commercial components, and reporting to competent authorities for consideration.

In terms of energy, he emphasized the need to proactively research and implement green energy solutions, especially rooftop solar power. Investments must ensure balanced benefits among stakeholders, and related procedures for substations must be completed promptly to guarantee stable electricity supply for production.

In the context of the Government’s strong push toward high economic growth, Dong Thap Province must also strive to contribute to this common goal. In the time ahead, Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong urged the investor to accelerate investment attraction and increase the park’s occupancy rate. Attracting new projects will not only boost growth this year but also create a solid foundation for sustainable growth in the years to come. The province’s guiding spirit is to take decisive action, with clearly defined tasks, timelines, and responsibilities, and to focus on swiftly removing bottlenecks to drive development.
