Dong Thap: Radiant Roads of Apricot Blossoms and Jungle Geraniums for Tet

(DTO) Every spring, the rural roads of Hoa Long Commune and Tan Dương Commune in Dong Thap Province come alive with vibrant yellow apricot blossoms and beautifully shaped jungle geranium hedges, adding bright spring colors to this peaceful countryside.

For more than 10 years, each Lunar New Year, a 50-meter stretch of rural road in Haa Binh Hamlet, Hoa Long Commune, has been lit up by over 20 yellow apricot trees in spectacular bloom.

Here, nearly every household grows several yellow apricot trees that bloom right in time for the holiday. Each year, travelers passing by often stop to admire the radiant blossoms and the neatly shaped jungle geranium hedges bursting with color, then strike a pose for photos with the flowers.

Nguyen Thanh Son, a longtime yellow apricot grower living in Hoa Binh Hamlet, shared that he cares for his trees meticulously every year. When the Lunar New Year arrives and the row of yellow apricot trees in front of his home blooms evenly and beautifully, his family gathers to take cheerful photos together.

Similarly, along the rural road in Tan Long Hamlet, Tan Duong Commune, for years, visitors have been drawn to the brightly colored jungle geranium hedges planted by local residents, serving both as fencing and as charming roadside scenery that invites travelers to stop and capture the moment.
