Dong Thap Strengthens Border Coordination in Culture, Sports, Tourism and External Information
(DTO) On September 9, the Dong Thap Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Dong Thap Border Guard Command held a conference at the Tan Thanh Border Guard Station (in Go Cong Dong Commune, Dong Thap Province) to ink a coordination program leveraging culture, sports, tourism, communications, and external information in border areas for the 2026-2030 period.
Under the agreement, the two agencies will drive mobile propaganda and outreach activities to serve officers, soldiers, and border residents, while facilitating the circulation of books, newspapers, and documents to border communes and wards. These efforts aim to meet the cultural and information needs of personnel and local residents, particularly in border areas.
The agencies will also coordinate with local authorities and Cambodian border protection and border gate forces to organize outreach initiatives aimed at deepening Cambodian citizens' understanding of the Party's guidelines and the State’s laws. At the same time, they will showcase the beauty of Vietnamese culture, customs, and heritage arts.

At the conference, delegates deliberated on coordination strategies and proposed solutions to boost the effectiveness of communication campaigns and cultural activities along the border in the coming years.

Following agreement on the framework, the Dong Thap Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Dong Thap Border Guard Command officially executed the coordination program on culture, sports, tourism, communications, and external information for the 2026-2030 period.
