Dong Thap: Upbeat and Proactive on the First Working Day After the Lunar New Year Holiday

(DTO) On the morning of February 23 (the 7th day of the first lunar month of Binh Ngo), together with the rest of the country, administrative agencies, public service units and schools across Dong Thap Province officially resumed work and study after a nine-day Lunar New Year holiday.

Observations this morning show a serious and orderly working atmosphere at agencies and units across the province. After the Tet holiday lasting from February 14 (the 27th day of the last lunar month of At Ty) to February 22 (the 6th day of the first lunar month of Binh Ngo), 100 percent of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers returned to their offices on time, ready for new tasks.

The Dong Thap Public Administration Service Center, headquartered in Cao Lanh Ward and Dao Thanh Ward, along with Public Administration Service Centers in 102 communes and wards, promptly resumed receiving and processing administrative procedures for citizens and businesses.

Officials and public employees returned to work with the determination not to let the lingering festive spirit affect the progress or quality of assigned tasks.

Contrary to the notion that “the first lunar month is for leisure,” officials and employees immediately resumed professional duties with the highest level of determination, using performance results as a benchmark for each job position.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Quang, Deputy Director of the Public Administration Service Center of Thuong Phuoc Commune, shared: “The first working day of the year is not only a regulation but also a measure of each individual’s sense of responsibility and aspiration to contribute. Maintaining discipline from the very first moments helps spread positive energy and strengthens the people’s trust in the government apparatus.”

Stabilizing work routines from the very first day of Binh Ngo 2026 promises a new year of breakthroughs for the province’s socio-economic development.

At schools across the province, teachers and students returned to classrooms in high spirits, ready for a new semester with promising results.
