Dong Thap: Vibrant Atmosphere as Enterprises Kick Off New Year Operations
(DTO) In the first days of the Lunar New Year 2026, a bustling working atmosphere has returned across enterprises and organizations throughout Dong Thap Province. Amid the vibrant spirit of the new year, the business community is demonstrating determination, strong efforts, and high expectations for a successful year ahead.
VIBRANT MOMENTUM
On the morning of the 7th day of Tet, the headquarters and transaction offices of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam - Tien Giang Branch (Vietcombank Tien Giang) simultaneously resumed operations following the holiday break.

According to observations, a large number of customers came to Vietcombank Tien Giang on the first working morning of the year to conduct transactions.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Director of Vietcombank Tien Giang, said that on the morning of the 7th day of Tet, the branch launched a lucky money program for customers depositing savings or opening new accounts.
This initiative attracted many customers to conduct transactions at the beginning of the year. All officers and employees were ready to provide the best possible service.
Also on the morning of the 7th day of Tet, Sao Vang Nong Thuan Phat Fertilizer Company (Trung An Ward) and Ninathai Joint Stock Company (Tan Phuoc 1 Commune) held their opening ceremonies for the new year.
Building on the achievements of 2025, both companies have set out specific plans and strategies for 2026. Mr. Nguyen Van Ung, Director of Sao Vang Nong Thuan Phat Fertilizer Company, shared: “This year, we initially planned to reopen on the 10th day of Tet. However, due to customer demand, we decided to open earlier than scheduled.”
On its first day of operation, Ninathai Joint Stock Company received numerous orders from customers in the Central Highlands provinces. In 2026, the company will focus on maintaining growth in inorganic fertilizer products.

In particular, the company will accelerate growth in organic fertilizer products manufactured by Ninathai.
The strategy is to strongly promote organic fertilizers to gradually change farmers’ production habits, thereby improving crop quality and value, and moving toward green and sustainable agriculture.
On the morning of the 8th day of Tet, Ticco Irrigation Construction One Member Co., Ltd. held its new-year opening ceremony and broke ground on Phase 2 of the Internal Road System Project and related components at Tan Huong Resettlement Area. The project has a total investment of nearly VND 33 billion, with a winning bid value of over VND 23 billion.
"The project will fund key infrastructure such as road surfaces, drainage, landscaping, and street lighting. Its goal is to create a synchronized infrastructure system for the resettlement area based on the approved planning.
Additionally, the project aims to provide land for local key projects' resettlement needs and attract investment into commercial, service, and social sectors within the development."
At the groundbreaking ceremony, the company affirmed its commitment to completing the project on schedule and ensuring quality standards.
At Nam Huy Dong Thap Co., Ltd. (Tan Nhuan Dong Commune), employees expressed excitement after successfully fulfilling the 2025 plan, showing even greater enthusiasm on the first working day of the year.
Across production departments, workers strictly observed working hours and quickly resumed operations, accelerating production from the very beginning of the year.
Mr. Huynh Van Hiep, Director of Nam Huy Dong Thap Co., Ltd., shared: “At the beginning of the year, we are focusing manpower on fulfilling an export order to Thailand of more than 15 tons of various dried fruit products.
With positive signals from early-year production and business activities, we forecast many opportunities for the dried fruit market this year. Therefore, we are determined to excellently achieve our targets, secure higher profits, and provide better benefits for our employees.
At the same time, we will continue upgrading our dried fruit products through production improvements and by seeking new export markets.”
ACCELERATING FROM THE START OF THE YEAR
To create strong momentum right from the first days of 2026, employees at Green Starch Joint Stock Company (Tan Duong Commune) quickly resumed and activated production lines.

With a large volume of export orders to Arab countries and many other markets, the company has implemented plans to increase work shifts and upgrade production lines to ensure continuous operation at maximum capacity.
Mr. Pham The Hai, Director of Green Starch Joint Stock Company, stated: “Toward 2026, we are concentrating investment capital on additional advanced machinery and equipment, technological upgrades, and improving productivity and production efficiency.
At the same time, we will further develop our core production and business sectors, maintain relationships with existing customers, diversify products, and seek new partners to expand export markets.”
For the pangasius export sector, Mr. Ong Hang Van, Deputy General Director of Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company (Sa Dec Ward), commented: “Last year’s figures show that production efficiency and added value in the pangasius industry continued to improve positively.
In the new year, the company will maintain stable production while gradually adapting to increasingly stringent market requirements regarding quality, traceability, food safety, and sustainable development.

Ms. Vo Phuong Thuy, Director of the Dong Thap Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, noted that in the early days of the new year, enterprises across the province simultaneously launched production after the Tet holiday with an enthusiastic spirit.
