Dong Thap Vice Chairman Huynh Minh Tuan inspects progress of Xeo Quit exhibition house
(DTO) Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, conducted a field inspection on April 16 to review the construction progress and final touches of the exhibition house at the Xeo Quit Relic Site in My Hiep Commune. The Vice Chairman was accompanied by leaders from relevant departments and agencies.

According to the Provincial Project Management Board, the exhibition house represents a total investment of over VND 44.5 billion, spanning the 2024–2026 period. The facility is designed to curate, preserve, and showcase invaluable historical artifacts, serving as a hub for traditional education and a catalyst for local tourism.
To date, key contract packages—including structural construction, equipment installation, the symbolic monument, and specialized exhibition systems—have been completed and officially accepted, remaining largely on schedule.

Following the site tour and briefing, Vice Chairman Huynh Minh Tuan commended the dedication and progress maintained by the investors and contractors. However, he emphasized the need for further refinement to ensure the highest quality before the facility opens to the public.
Specifically, he directed the Project Management Board to collaborate closely with contractors to rectify any inconsistencies. He urged a proactive approach in fine-tuning these elements to ensure the project meets the highest standards of aesthetics, functionality, and visitor convenience.

The Vice Chairman also tasked the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism with leading a consultative process, gathering insights from experts, professional bodies, and particularly former provincial leaders and veterans. This collective feedback will be crucial in finalizing the exhibition content.
The goal is to ensure historical authenticity, depth, and the educational integrity of the house, which recreates the strategic resistance base of the Kien Phong and Sa Dec Provincial Party Committees during the war against US forces.
Before the official inauguration, the Vice Chairman stressed that all content must undergo rigorous appraisal by historians and specialized agencies to reach a consensus on the final presentation and the most appropriate launch date.
The Xeo Quit exhibition house is more than just an infrastructure upgrade; it is a landmark project dedicated to honoring revolutionary values, inspiring younger generations, and enhancing Dong Thap's appeal as a premier historical tourism destination.
