Dong Thap Young Entrepreneurs Association holds first congress for 2026-2031 term

(DTO) On the afternoon of June 20, in My Tra Ward, the Dong Thap Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association organized its 1st Congress for the 2026 - 2031 term.

Attending the event were Mr. Le Minh Hoan, former member of the Party Central Committee and former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Nguyen Nhu Kien, Vice President of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association; Mr. Pham Van Chuan, member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; along with representatives of leaders from provincial departments, sectors, communes, wards, and young entrepreneurs across the province. 

During the past term, the Dong Thap Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association constantly innovated its operational content and methods, steadfastly affirming its role as the representative organization for the province's young entrepreneur team.

Business support programs went increasingly into depth, focusing on the practical needs of members; while trade connection, training, digital transformation, and innovation activities were energized. The work of gathering and uniting young entrepreneurs has continued to expand, contributing to elevating the prestige and position of the Association within the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association system.

Many member enterprises have maintained stable growth, expanded production and business scales, and achieved numerous prestigious awards and certifications. Along with that, social security activities have been implemented regularly, clearly demonstrating the strong sense of responsibility of the young entrepreneur team toward the community.

Under the motto “Unity – Aspiration – Reaching Far,” the Congress approved the directions for the 2026 - 2031 term, focusing on building a streamlined, professional, and efficiently operating Association organization; maximizing its bridging role within the young entrepreneur community; and supporting members in enhancing governance capacity, digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development.

Concurrently, the Congress identified three strategic breakthrough pillars, including: consolidating the organization toward flexibility and efficiency; accelerating science, technology, digital transformation, and innovation; and stepping up the promotion of local value chains to boost competitiveness and expand markets.

The Congress negotiated and elected a 28-member Executive Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association for the 1st term. Mr. Tran Huy Hien was trusted and elected as Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association for the 2026 - 2031 term.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman Huynh Minh Tuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the active contributions of the business community in general and the Dong Thap Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association in particular over the past period; and emphasized the pioneering role of the young entrepreneur team in propelling local socio-economic development.

The Vice Chairman requested that the Dong Thap Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association continue to promote its role as a representative organization, truly serving as an effective bridge between businesses and the government; proactively grasping and promptly reflecting corporate difficulties and bottlenecks to coordinate in resolving them, contributing to creating a favorable investment, production, and business environment.

The Association needs to pioneer in innovation and digital transformation, spearheading the application of artificial intelligence, digital data, e-commerce, and new business models, considering this a crucial driving force to enhance competitiveness and adapt to development trends. 

Concurrently, it should strongly arouse the spirit of entrepreneurship and the aspiration for legitimate wealth accumulation; building a team of young enterprises with high competitiveness to step-by-step participate deeper into domestic and international value chains.

Besides, the Association must focus on promoting green transformation, circular economy development, and sustainable development; building a team of young entrepreneurs possessing mettle, intellect, business ethics, and social responsibility; and strengthening regional linkages while expanding domestic and foreign cooperation, contributing to elevating the position of Dong Thap enterprises in the integration process.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation awarded the Emulation Flag for the 2022 - 2025 period to the collective of the Dong Thap Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association, recognizing its active contributions to the Association's work and the young entrepreneurs’ movement over the past period.
