Dong Thap Youth Achieve All 12 Targets of Youth Month

(DTO) During Youth Month of 2026, Youth Unions across Dong Thap carried out a wide range of meaningful activities, demonstrating the proactive and volunteer spirit of local youth while contributing to socio-economic development and community wellbeing. As a result, the province achieved all 12 planned targets, with several exceeding expectations.

According to the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union, the implementation of Youth Month was coordinated consistently, aligned with the directives of the Central Youth Union and local conditions. 
Youth Unions at all levels proactively developed plans and organized activities tied to weekly themes, creating a vibrant and competitive atmosphere among young people throughout the province.

Key results include 220,236 participants in volunteer activities; 301,993 newly planted trees; 102 youth-initiated projects worth more than 7.2 billion VND; support for the construction of 14 charity houses; and many meaningful social welfare initiatives.

Youth Unions also provided career counseling to 24,041 young people, job referrals to 14,419, and secured employment for 1,222, helping improve livelihoods and expanding development opportunities.

Digital transformation efforts were strengthened through 114 community digital technology teams, supporting more than 10,000 residents in accessing online public services and cashless payments.

Organizational development remained a priority, with 6,173 new members admitted and 2,150 outstanding individuals recommended to the Party for training and potential admission.

Activities carried out during Youth Month of 2026 reaffirmed the role of Dong Thap’s youth in building their hometown, spreading the spirit of volunteerism, creativity, and community responsibility, and leaving a positive impact on society.
