2026 DONG THAP PROVINCE STARTUP AND INNOVATION CONTEST:
Freeze-Dried Bird’s Nest Flan and Yogurt Project Wins First Prize
(DTO) On October 10, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Department of Finance, and Department of Science and Technology, together with the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union, jointly held the final round of the 2026 Dong Thap Province Startup and Innovation Contest.

The contest aims to identify, encourage and support innovative ideas and projects with practical applications. It also provides a platform for individuals and startup teams to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and connect with experts, businesses and support resources to develop their projects.

Of the 147 projects and ideas submitted, 28 outstanding entries were selected after the preliminary round to advance to the semifinals, and 11 outstanding projects proceeded to the final round.
According to Le Hoang Quyet, Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Youth Union and Head of the Organizing Committee, finalists focused on three key questions: What real-world problems do their products or solutions address, and what value do they bring to customers and the community? How feasible are their projects, and can they reach the market, grow and remain sustainable in the long term? After the contest, what are their next steps, what resources do they need, and what connections and support are they seeking to develop their projects?
At the final round, the Freeze-Dried Bird’s Nest Flan and Yogurt Project, developed by Bui Bang Son, Nguyen Thi Quynh Trang, Nguyen Huu Tan, Le Thi Ngoc Huyen and Nguyen Thi Diem Thuy, won first prize. The An Khang Clean Incense Project by Dinh Thanh Sang won second prize, while the Cua De Danh - Nam Lun Garment Workshop Project by Tran Thi Ngoc Dung took third prize.

On this occasion, sponsoring organizations awarded 28 places in the “Startup Crane Incubation” and “Entrepreneurial Mindset - Life Values” programs, with a total value of 560 million VND, to the 28 semifinalist projects. They also provided 11 places for finalists to take part in study tours and learn from startup models in other provinces.
