Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Technical Infrastructure of Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park

(DTO) On the morning of September 17, IDICO Tien Giang Joint Stock Company, a member of IDICO Corporation, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of technical infrastructure for the Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park infrastructure investment and development project. The ceremony was attended by Phan Van Thang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province; Nguyen Van Vinh, former Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Vice Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Committee, and others. 

Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, located in Tan Phuoc 3 Commune, Dong Thap Province, covers 470 hectares, including 362.8 hectares of industrial land. The land use term runs through 2074. Located at the gateway to the Mekong Delta, Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park is planned as an integrated production and consumption ecosystem, leveraging the region’s advantages in transport connectivity, logistics, markets and agricultural raw materials. 

Its strategic location and connectivity will enable the industrial park to capitalize on the Mekong Delta’s abundant raw material sources and develop food production and processing industries based on the region’s rich agricultural and aquatic resources. 

Technical infrastructure and essential services at Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park will be directly operated by the investor, including a water supply plant, a wastewater treatment system meeting Column A standards, and a 110kV substation. Technology solutions will also be integrated into operations, including AI applications for environmental monitoring and security surveillance. 

In addition to production infrastructure, IDICO has planned accommodation for experts and workers in the industrial park, along with a social housing area of about 20 hectares adjacent to the park. 

The industrial park offers the highest corporate income tax incentives applicable to the region, including a four-year tax exemption followed by a 50% reduction for the next nine years. Investors will also be exempt from land rental payments to the State for the entire lease term and receive free support with investment and business establishment procedures. 

The industrial park is expected to begin attracting secondary investors in the first quarter of 2027. Once fully occupied and operating steadily, the project is expected to attract approximately 1.5 billion USD in total investment and create jobs for around 20,000 workers. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Hong Hai, Deputy General Director of IDICO Corporation and Director of IDICO Tien Giang Joint Stock Company, said that more than 25 years of developing industrial ecosystems across the country had enabled IDICO to build up extensive experience, capabilities and a long-term perspective. IDICO aims to work with the local authorities to connect human resources, businesses and other resources in the region.

Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park will gradually help establish an interconnected and mutually supportive industrial space for the future, creating added value for businesses, jobs for workers and sustainable development momentum for the locality. 

IDICO is ready to continue studying and participating in suitable projects, working with Dong Thap Province to gradually develop Tan Phuoc into a key industrial area. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Dieu emphasized that Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park represents the continuation of the success of Long Jiang Industrial Park and Tan Huong Industrial Park. Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park is located within the Tan Phuoc industrial development economic zone. In addition to Tan Phuoc 1, the province has planned and is continuing to call for investment in other industrial parks and industrial clusters in the area. 

To soon realize this goal, the province is investing and will continue to invest in infrastructure connectivity, particularly transport, electricity, water supply and logistics infrastructure. It has also set aside land for residential areas, market streets, commercial housing, rental housing and social housing, while investing in roads to connect Tan Phuoc with other areas of the province. 

Nguyen Thanh Dieu asked provincial departments, agencies and the People’s Committee of Tan Phuoc 3 Commune to continue creating favorable conditions for the development of the industrial park. He also asked IDICO's leadership to ensure that construction proceeds on schedule and in compliance with the law, while ensuring occupational and traffic safety. The project is expected to become an attractive and well-planned industrial development that will give secondary investors confidence in establishing long-term operations there. 

At noon the same day, IDICO Tien Giang Joint Stock Company also held a conference to introduce the Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park and promote investment in the project. 

A highlight of the conference was the interest shown by domestic and foreign associations and businesses in the project. Five memorandums of understanding, covering a total area of 41 hectares, were signed between IDICO Tien Giang Joint Stock Company, the Dong Thap Business Association and four enterprises. The agreements mark initial cooperation toward the planned development of Tan Phuoc 1 Industrial Park.
