Ha Noi Lotus Festival to honour lotus beauty and promote cultural value
DTO/NDO- Venues around West Lake will host the Ha Noi Lotus Festival from June 26-28, featuring a wide range of activities celebrating the beauty of the lotus in cultural life while promoting the cultural values of Thang Long–Ha Noi.
The festival will also introduce lotus-inspired tourism, cultural, and creative products to domestic and international visitors.
A highlight of the 2026 Ha Noi Lotus Festival will be a series of cultural, artistic, experiential, and tourism promotion spaces running throughout the event.
Among them, the “Lotus – Essence and Life” space at Ly Tu Trong Flower Garden will feature exhibitions and activities that showcase and honour the beauty of the lotus in Vietnamese culture.
The space will present lotus varieties from Ha Noi and other localities, including Nghe An, Hue, and Dong Thap, while promoting the lotus ecosystem and tourism destinations associated with the flower.
It will also display artworks that blend tradition with contemporary creativity, including lotus-themed works created with do paper, calligraphy, driftwood, lacquer, and ceramics.
Visitors will also discover lotus-inspired handicraft products, such as carvings, embroidery, sculptures, silk products, paper flowers, and lotus-leaf conical hats.
The festival will dedicate a special area to lotus silk weaving, featuring artisans from traditional craft villages, alongside fashion collections using lotus-inspired materials and motifs. Notable attractions will also include a tea-tasting area and lotus tea cultural experiences.
Furthermore, a culinary space will showcase dishes made from lotus ingredients, including lotus seed sweet soup, candied lotus seeds, lotus flower tea, lotus heart tea, longan and lotus seed dessert, and lotus-leaf rice. Organisers will also create themed miniature landscapes and check-in areas to elevate the visitor experience.
Additional highlights feature exhibitions of lotus-themed calligraphy and paintings, as well as the “Moments of West Lake Lotus” painting activity. The “Lotus – Performance and Community” space, held simultaneously at Lac Long Quan Flower Garden, the West Lake Lotus Culinary and Cultural Area, and the West Lake Flower Valley, will feature traditional artistic performances associated with lotus culture and the “Lotus Takes to the Streets” artistic parade.
Additional activities will include artistic and sporting performances, as well as the “Fragrance and Beauty of West Lake Lotus” photography exchange programme at the West Lake Creative Cultural Space.
With its diverse programme of activities, the 2026 Ha Noi Lotus Festival aims to promote the image of the capital, honour the cultural value of the lotus, create new tourism products, and move towards establishing the festival as an annual tourism promotion event of national scale for Ha Noi.
