Heartwarming “Bringing the Moon Festival Back” Program

(DTO) On the evening of September 19, WinMart, WinMart+, and the Cao Lanh Ward People’s Committee jointly organized the “Bringing the Moon Festival Back” program. The event featured numerous performances highlighting the traditional beauty of the Mid-Autumn Festival, bringing the spirit of reunion closer to children and families. 
 

The “Bringing the Moon Festival Back” program offered a festive Mid-Autumn space with lion dance and festive drum performances, a lantern parade, meet-and-greets with Moon Goddess and the Moon Boy, artistic shows, children’s plays, and a Mid-Autumn parade. 

The highlight of the festival was a large-scale drone light show combined with fireworks, telling the story of the moon season in the sky over Cao Lanh. Hundreds of drones created familiar Mid-Autumn imagery, such as star lanterns, carp lanterns, and August lantern parades, alongside signature symbols of the Pink Lotus Land, bridging traditional Mid-Autumn memories with regional identity. 

At the event, Pham Thi Hien Trang, Director of the WinMart+ chain, expressed her gratitude to the leaders of Dong Thap Province, local departments, agencies, and the Cao Lanh Ward People’s Committee for their support and coordination in hosting the “Bringing the Moon Festival Back” program in Dong Thap. Bringing this program to the people of Dong Thap holds special significance, serving as the third stop on the “Bringing the Moon Festival Back” journey following Tuyen Quang and Nghe An provinces. 

WinMart supermarket and MAMA HY mooncake brand accompanied the program, aiming to help create joyful Mid-Autumn spaces for children and the broader community. This created a lively and festive atmosphere while demonstrating corporate social responsibility and commitment to community life. 

An estimated 5,000 lanterns and hundreds of Mid-Autumn gifts are expected to be presented to children and studious students across Dong Thap Province. Through this series of activities, the program aims to bring the spirit of family reunion and the cherished traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival back into modern everyday life.
