Hundreds of Yellow Bell Trees in Bloom Ahead of the 2nd Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival.

(DTO) In less than half a month, the 2nd Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival will officially begin. 

During these bustling days of preparation, Provincial Road 848 in Sa Dec Ward, Dong Thap Province, has become more dazzling than ever, as hundreds of yellow bells burst into bloom simultaneously, forming an impressive “golden avenue,” warmly welcoming visitors.

Along a nearly 3-kilometer stretch, from the Sa Dec Park roundabout to Sa Dec Bridge, more than 400 yellow bell trees line both sides of the road. Each tree stands over three meters tall, with cascading clusters of bright yellow, bell-shaped flowers hanging from the branch tips, creating a truly poetic and picturesque scene.

To ensure the trees bloom at their peak during the festival, urban greenery care teams have carried out meticulous technical measures, including pruning, fertilizing, watering, and canopy shaping on a regular basis. Thanks to this attentive care, these woody trees of South American origin have grown evenly and produced eye-catching blossoms, an encouraging sign of a successful festival.

Yellow bells are tropical blooms that typically flower at the end of the rainy season and continue in waves until May of the following year. This means that visitors to Sa Dec will not only be able to admire this stunning flower route during the festival (December 27, 2025 - January 4, 2026), but also throughout the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday.

In the cool early-winter air, clusters of yellow flowers gently swaying in the breeze not only bring a sense of freshness and romance to the surroundings, but also enhance the vibrant and charming urban landscape of Sa Dec. This radiant golden road promises to be an ideal photo spot and a must-see destination for visitors when they come to the Flower and Ornamental Capital of the Mekong Delta during the upcoming festival.
