(DTO) On April 6, at the Tien River basinthe bordering area between Dong Thap and An Giang provinces-the My An Hung Commune Youth Union, in coordination with local authorities and philanthropists, organized the 2026 Ceremony for Releasing Breeder Fish to Replenish and Develop Fishery Resources.

During this activity, Youth Union members, young volunteers, and residents of My An Hung Commune released over 7,000 breeder fish with high natural growth potential, such as climbing perch, catfish, and carp, into the Tien River.

Alongside the release, the youth also spread the environmental protection message: "Release fish, not plastic bags" (thả cá đừng thả nilon), acting as a call for everyone to safeguard the environment. This activity holds great significance for preserving biodiversity and protecting the ecosystem, revitalizing the rivers and ensuring a cleaner ecological environment.

Furthermore, the event encouraged citizens to participate in life-releasing activities (phóng sinh), promoting the movement to develop fishery resources and protect the local ecological environment. This contributes to the effective implementation of Directive No. 01 of the Standing Committee of the My An Hung Commune Party Committee regarding strengthened leadership in construction management, urban order, the protection and development of fishery resources, and environmental protection within the locality.
