DTO/NDO- The Ministry of Home Affairs held the launch ceremony of the National Employment Exchange (https://www.vieclam.gov.vn) in Ha Noi on April 14.

This digital platform connects workers, enterprises, employment service providers, and state management agencies nationwide, contributing to the development of a modern, transparent, flexible, and efficient labour market.

The development and operation of the National Employment Exchange represent a concrete step in implementing the Party and Government’s policies on science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation, particularly Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP of the Government.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Home Affairs assigned the Department of Employment to take the lead, in coordination with relevant units and the Viet Nam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), to build and finalise the system, while also working with relevant agencies to ensure data connectivity, integration, and information security and safety prior to its official operation.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Minister of Home Affairs Do Thanh Binh emphasised that bringing the National Employment Exchange into operation marks “a significant milestone in the roadmap for modernising and digitally transforming the labour and employment sector”, implemented on the foundation of major resolutions on science, technology, and national digital transformation.

According to the Minister, since May 2025, the development process of the National Employment Exchange has been carried out in a systematic manner, with rigorous testing of technical aspects, information security, and operational capacity. To date, the system has “fully met requirements for data connectivity and integration, ensuring absolute safety and information security”, and is ready for official operation. It is not merely a technological platform but also a foundational digital infrastructure for the labour market. The National Employment Exchange serves as a critical digital infrastructure to ensure the labour market operates smoothly, transparently, and in line with market mechanisms, effectively connecting labour supply and demand.

Highlighting the key factor for effective operation, Minister Do Thanh Binh called for coordinated participation from local authorities, businesses, and workers. He also urged relevant agencies to “shift their mindset”, viewing themselves as “satellite nodes” responsible for updating and sharing data, while encouraging enterprises and workers to “quickly adopt, trust, utilise, and leverage the platform as the most official, transparent, and effective launching pad for connections”.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Manh Khuong noted that in every era, human resources have always played a decisive role in the development of each nation. According to statistics, Viet Nam’s labour force stands at approximately 53.6 million people, with a relatively balanced structure, representing a vital resource for achieving the country’s industrialisation and modernisation goals.

Therefore, the Deputy Minister stressed that the launch and operation of the National Employment Exchange carry significant importance. The platform is expected to maximise the effectiveness of the country’s human resources, enhance labour productivity, generate employment, improve workers’ livelihoods and incomes, and contribute to the realisation of the goal of “developing a socialist-oriented market economy in tandem with social progress and equity.”
