DTO/NDO- Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra recently signed Decision No. 1111/QD-TTg, dated June 19, 2026, of the Prime Minister, promulgating the plan to organise "Viet Nam Culture Day" for the 2026–2030 period.

The plan aims to launch a wide-ranging cultural and political campaign across society; affirm the central role of the people as the creators, preservers, and transmitters of cultural values; improve the public's access to, creation of, and enjoyment of cultural activities; and foster patriotism, national pride, civic responsibility, and the aspiration to contribute to the country’s prosperity and happiness in the new era.

Under the plan, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Viet Nam Television, the Voice of Viet Nam, Viet Nam News Agency, and central and local press agencies will coordinate with the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication, Education, and Mass Mobilisation, ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to develop communication products for “Viet Nam Culture Day”. These products will feature diverse content and formats suited to the cultural characteristics and practical conditions of each region.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, in coordination with relevant commissions, ministries, sectors, and agencies, will organise a series of large-scale cultural, artistic, and sporting events; support the development of community cultural spaces; invest in and improve the effectiveness of grassroots cultural institutions; and continue supporting the building of cultural spaces within communities.
