Provincial Party Committee Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong Attends New School Year Opening Ceremony at Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School

(DTO) On the morning of September 5, Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School, My Tho Ward, organized the opening ceremony for the 2026-2027 school year. This site served as the main broadcasting venue for Dong Thap Province, connecting directly to the national joint opening ceremony. 

The ceremony was attended by Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People’s Council; Le Quang Tri, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Education and Training; former provincial leaders; along with local representatives, school teachers, parents, and students. 

At the ceremony, delegates, teachers, and students at Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School watched the nationwide live broadcast of the 2026-2027 school year opening program on channel VTV1, originating from the main venue at Muong Khuong Boarding High School, Muong Khuong Commune, Lao Cai Province. Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School served as the main broadcasting venue for Dong Thap Province. 

For the 2026-2027 school year, Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School has 3,210 students across 73 classes, supported by 144 teachers and staff members across two campuses. Building upon its 147-year tradition, the school aims to make strong strides in school governance, teaching methodologies, and digital transformation. 

Speaking at the event, Mr. Vo Hoai Nhan Trung, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of the school, stated that the school is focusing on shifting from a traditional management mindset to modern school governance, building a culture of integrity, eliminating the pursuit of superficial achievements, and reducing administrative burdens on teachers. 
The school’s core action plan centers on: “Enhancing Educational Quality - Pioneering Digital Transformation - Controlling and Boosting the Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Teaching.”

Accordingly, teachers are guided to innovate teaching methods using digital learning materials and effectively operate digital student records. AI will be integrated to support research, lesson planning, assignment design, and the personalization of student learning pathways. The school is also finalizing software to manage teaching discipline and administrative tasks, considering this a breakthrough step in digital transformation. 

For students, the school is strengthening education in ethics, lifestyle, life skills, digital skills, communication etiquette, and legal compliance, encouraging safe, responsible technology and AI usage alongside strict academic honesty. 

On this occasion, 20 scholarships (valued at 1 million VND each) were awarded to disadvantaged students demonstrating strong academic determination. The school also received numerous scholarships and support gifts from government agencies, organizations, businesses, and benefactors to support underprivileged students. 

During the 2025-2026 school year, 1 teacher from Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, and 7 teachers and staff members were awarded the title of “Provincial Emulation Fighter.”

Upholding the tradition of being “Revolutionary - Excellent in Teaching - Excellent in Learning,” the teachers and students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School are determined to enter the new school year with solidarity, responsibility, and creativity, continuing to raise educational standards and promote the safe, effective application of digital transformation and AI.
