Resident voluntarily hands over a rare monkey to Cai Be Commune Police
(DTO) In recent times, Cai Be Commune Police have paid close attention to communication and dissemination of laws on wildlife protection, especially regulations concerning endangered, precious and rare species, thereby gradually raising public awareness and compliance with the law in the locality.
As a result of these outreach efforts, on December 31, 2025, Ms. Huynh Thi My Dung (born in 1978, residing in Group 1, An Hiep Hamlet, Cai Be Commune) voluntarily handed over one long-tailed macaque to Cai Be Commune Police. The animal belongs to Group IIB, listed among endangered, precious and rare forest animals prioritized for state protection.

Cai Be Commune Police coordinated with the Commune Economic Division and the Management Board of An Hiep Hamlet to check the animal’s health, complete the handover record, and transfer it to the Center for Cultivation, Research and Processing of Medicinal Materials under the Logistics–Technical Department of Military Region 9 (also known as Dong Tam Snake Farm) for proper care, conservation and breeding in accordance with regulations.
