Spreading the Spirit of Research, Learning, and Creativity Among Teenagers and Children
(DTO) On the morning of June 21, at Tran Hung Dao High School (No. 119, Ap Bac Street, Dao Thanh Ward, Dong Thap Province), the Organizing Committee of the 19th Dong Thap Provincial Creativity Contest for Teenagers and Children held the opening ceremony and the preliminary judging round.

This year’s contest attracted enthusiastic participation from students across communes and wards throughout the province, with nearly 1,500 creative models and products entered at cluster-level rounds.
After the screening process, 242 models and products were selected to compete at the provincial-level contest in 2026, spanning four categories: learning tools (47 entries); computer software (20 entries); household items and children’s toys (38 entries); and products and technical solutions for climate change adaptation, environmental friendliness, and economic development (137 entries).

The judging session took place in a lively atmosphere, featuring displays and presentations by numerous individual contestants and teams from clusters, communes, and wards across the province. Models and products receiving high marks in the preliminary round will be shortlisted for the final round, scheduled for June 22, 2026 at Tran Hung Dao High School, where the most outstanding entries will be selected for awards.

According to Nguyen Van Khang, Deputy Head of the Standing Organizing Committee and Chairman of the Dong Thap Union of Science and Technology Associations, the contest entries not only reflect the students’ spirit of exploration and creativity, but also demonstrate their ability to engage with science, apply logical thinking, and show social responsibility. These qualities help strengthen confidence in the future of science and technology in Dong Thap in particular and in Vietnam as a whole.

The Dong Thap Provincial Creativity Contest for Teenagers and Children is held annually to discover and identify creative ideas and models with practical applicability, scientific value, and effectiveness for wider adoption in real life. This helps foster the spirit of research, learning, and creativity among teenagers and children. The most outstanding products will be selected by the Organizing Committee to compete in the National Creativity Contest for Teenagers and Children.
