Tens Of Thousands Of Visitors Flock To Sa Dec For Hot Air Balloon Festival

(DTO) Following the success of the hot air balloon lantern night on the evening of December 31, 2025, from early morning on New Year's Day 2026, 34 multicolored hot air balloons soared above the flower-filled Sa Dec Square. The event attracted tens of thousands of tourists from all over to admire the sight and take photos.

Under the theme "Sa Dec Soars with Myriad Flower Colors," the Hot Air Balloon Festival-held within the framework of the 2nd Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival-features 11 decorative inflatable balloons, 20 level-1 tethered balloons, and 2 level-7 balloons. These larger balloons can carry up to three people to a height of 50 meters, offering a panoramic view of Sa Dec Square-a memorable and exciting experience for the start of 2026.

Additionally, visitors have the chance to explore the interior of a giant level-7 balloon laid horizontally, creating a breezy and colorful space. According to the Organizing Committee, the hot air balloon flight experience is currently not open for ticket sales; it is reserved for residents and tourists with invitations or those who win through lucky draws.

The Hot Air Balloon Festival runs from January 1 to 4 at Sa Dec Square, with sessions from 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM to serve the public and tourists visiting for the 2nd Sa Dec Flower and Ornamental Plant Festival.

This festival highlight is expected to be a major attraction, boosting tourism development and promoting the image of a dynamic and thriving Sa Dec.
