The 2nd Sa Dec Flower & Ornamental Plant Festival: Bustling Sa Dec Flower & Ornamental Plant Market - A Gathering Place for Flower Lovers
(DTO) In the joyful spirit of the 2nd Sa Dec Flower & Ornamental Plant Festival, the Flower & Ornamental Plant Market has become an ideal rendezvous where the beauty of nature blends harmoniously with the craftsmanship of local growers.
More than just a trading space, the market is filled with beaming smiles, where visitors find delight in every bloom, and Sa Dec gardeners proudly share the fruits of their dedication with people across the country.

SA DEC FLOWER MARKET - A GATHERING PLACE FOR FLOWER ENTHUSIASTS
Stretching along Nguyen Van Troi and Nguyen Thai Binh streets of Sa Dec Ward, the Sa Dec Flower & Ornamental Plant Market runs continuously from December 27, 2025, to January 4, 2026. With more than 40 stalls, the market resembles a tapestry of colors, showcasing thousands of products, from majestic ancient bonsai to radiant potted flowers.

Right from the opening days, the atmosphere has been lively. The Organizing Committee’s goal goes beyond commerce. It aims to bring the Sa Dec plants closer to consumers in the most natural and heartfelt way. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in a world of multicolored garden mums, charming gerberas, Siam tulips, bougainvillea, roses, and orchids, all blooming vibrantly.

Amid the crowds, it’s easy to spot the delighted sparkle in visitors’ eyes as they find the perfect pot of flowers to take home. Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong, a visitor from Vinh Long Province, gently placed two vibrant bougainvillea pots onto her vehicle as she shared excitedly: “I’m truly surprised. These large bougainvillea pots with such full blooms cost less than 700,000 VND. If I waited until the Lunar New Year flower markets, the price would be much higher. Enjoying the festival while buying beautiful flowers at a bargain, my whole family is thrilled.”

What makes this year’s market stand out is the transparency and sincerity of Sa Dec’s flower village people. Visitors leave satisfied not only with the prices but also with the thoughtful assistance they receive. There is no aggressive selling, only genuine guidance on watering, fertilizing, and caring for the flowers to help them stay beautiful for longer.

Local growers are just as excited as the visitors, as sales have surged significantly this year. Mr. Thai Ngoc Thanh, owner of Thanh Tai Flower & Ornamental Plant Garden in Dong Hue Hamlet, Sa Dec Ward, happily shared: “Compared to the first festival, this year’s visitor numbers have increased dramatically. Since the opening, my stall has been so busy. We sell dozens of bougainvillea pots daily. Customers love the flowers because they’re lush, full of blooms, and reasonably priced, so they buy quickly”.
To meet a wide range of needs, he prepared everything from small pots costing just a few tens of thousands of dong to valuable bonsai trees worth several million. “What makes me happiest is being able to personally share plant care tips with customers. Seeing them cherish what we grow makes all the hard work worthwhile,” Thanh expressed.
UNIQUE FLOWER VARIETIES
Alongside traditional blooms, the appearance of new varieties has added an irresistible allure to the market. Mr. Huynh Thanh Tuan from Sa Nhien Hamlet, Sa Dec Ward, brought to the market a collection of striking Siam tulips, currently a sensation on plant-lover forums. Mr. Tuan shared: “I’ve had many customers tell me they’d only ever seen these online, so they were thrilled to finally see them in person. Each pot is priced between 120,000 and 180,000 VND, so they sell very quickly. Some customers even asked for my garden’s address so they could visit and place bulk orders”.

One of the standout features of this year’s market is the stall displaying tissue-cultured plant varieties. This showcases the agility of Sa Dec’s flower growers in applying scientific and technological advances to production.

At the stall of Ut Hiep Seedling Farm (Khanh Hoa Hamlet, Sa Dec Ward), many visitors stopped in curiosity as they observed tender green plantlets cultivated inside glass jars. Owner Le Thanh Tuyen explained: “People walking by can’t help stopping as they find it so fascinating. We display both the seedlings in test tubes and the mature plants so visitors can compare. Tissue culture ensures uniform seedlings, disease-free growth, and exceptionally strong vitality.”

According to Mr. Tuyen, participating in the market is not merely about selling products. It is also a way to convey a message to visitors that Sa Dec’s Flower Village is embracing a new identity: more modern, more professional. High-quality products with precise coloration, made possible by tissue culture technology, represent the “new breeze” that local growers hope to bring to flower lovers everywhere.

As part of the 2nd Sa Dec Flower & Ornamental Plant Festival, the market is more than a trading activity. It has become a cultural space, a bridge connecting growers and flower enthusiasts through a shared love of beauty. The joy of visitors and the excitement of gardeners have painted a vivid picture, promising a bright and successful Lunar New Year season for the century-old flower village.
