Youth: The Architects of Value
(DTO) Today’s younger generation is nurtured in an environment far more affluent and stable than that of previous generations. The foundations of education, creativity, and especially digital transformation have empowered the youth to forge new values and contribute actively to the nation's overall development.
A future generation of nation-builders is being shaped on a bedrock of intellect, knowledge, an innovative ecosystem, and numerous other strategic springboards.
As National Assembly Vice Chairman Le Minh Hoan noted, when young individuals are trusted and granted opportunities, they can become a driving force for development, contributing to a high-quality workforce.
In today's knowledge economy, a high-quality workforce is the very "energy" of a nation. However, this energy does not emerge by chance.
It is cultivated in classrooms, bolstered by sound policies, and amplified within an environment that respects creativity.
Expectations for the youth are ever-present and continually rising. There is hope for a generation imbued with positive energy, grand ambitions, and a readiness to serve.
Nevertheless, creating this national energy is a long-term process. As Vice Chairman Le Minh Hoan emphasized, building a high-quality workforce is not a short-term project.
It is akin to planting a forest. We sow the seeds today. Tomorrow, the trees begin to sprout. It takes many years to become a forest. But once matured, it provides shade for generations to come.
Similarly, every opportunity provided and every grain of trust placed today can transform into immense value for tomorrow.
From another perspective, emphasizing the responsibility of today's youth, General Secretary To Lam stated in a recent article that patriotism in the new era is not merely expressed through emotion. It must be manifested through knowledge, the capacity for action, the spirit to conquer new heights in science and technology, and the will to master the country's future.
Success begins with a spirit of continuous learning, self-perfection, and constantly setting higher standards for oneself.
No success is sustainable without serious labor; no great feat is achieved without persistent accumulation; and no true achievement exists based solely on luck or fleeting inspiration.
The path to success demands both talent and discipline, both passion and depth, and both grand aspirations and humble receptivity.
The General Secretary To Lam also stressed that the youth must vigorously nurture an entrepreneurial spirit—starting businesses with intellect, business ethics, and a desire to create new value for society.
Entrepreneurship is not just about personal success; it is about solving community problems, creating jobs, and enhancing the self-reliance of the economy.
Shaping the future requires the core values brought by the younger generation. Today's youth are trained in knowledge and resilience, yet they profoundly need a space to create and boldly commit—a space where differences are respected.
They need an environment that allows for experiences with mistakes to bring about more authentic values—a place where a creative environment is opened, and the constructive values of youth are recognized. Clearly, to be recognized, one must show the results of a serious labor process, driven by both talent and discipline.
