Chairman Pham Thanh Ngai Works with Dong Thap Provincial Border Guard

(DTO) On the afternoon of March 9, Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, visited and worked with the Command of the Dong Thap Provincial Border Guard.

At the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hoa, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard, reported on the results of border guard missions for 2025 and the early months of 2026.

Accordingly, the provincial Border Guard forces have synchronously implemented measures to firmly manage and protect territorial sovereignty and national border security along the land border and assigned areas. 

Simultaneously, the forces have proactively grasped the local situation and strengthened coordination with functional agencies and local authorities to combat various types of crimes, maintaining political security and social order in the border region.

Speaking at the session, Chairman Pham Thanh Ngai recognized and commended the achievements of the Provincial Border Guard over the past period.

He requested that the Border Guard forces continue to uphold their core and specialized role in border management and protection. He emphasized the need to enhance coordination with provincial departments, sectors, and localities to implement socio-economic development tasks associated with strengthening defense and security in border areas.
