Deputy Commander of Military Region 9 Visits and Extends Lunar New Year Greetings to the Dong Thap Border Guard Command

(DTO) On February 11, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, Major General Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9, visited and extended Lunar New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the Dong Thap Provincial Border Guard Command.

During the visit, a leader of the Provincial Border Guard Command briefed the delegation on the unit’s performance in border management and protection, combat readiness, crime prevention, and preparations to ensure a warm and secure Lunar New Year for officers and soldiers.

The unit has strictly maintained duty rosters, kept a firm grasp of the local situation, and closely coordinated with relevant forces to safeguard political security and social order in the border area.

Extending New Year wishes, Major General Nguyen Van Tien commended the unit’s outstanding achievements over the past year. He also requested that, in the coming period, the unit continue to rigorously implement directives and orders on combat readiness, strengthen border patrols and inspections, and proactively handle emerging situations to avoid passivity and surprise.

He further emphasized the need to care for the material and spiritual well-being of the troops, ensuring that all officers and soldiers enjoy a safe, economical, and joyful Lunar New Year.

On this occasion, the working delegation presented a Lunar New Year gift and extended wishes of good health, unity, and success in fulfilling assigned duties to all officers and soldiers of the Dong Thap Border Guard Command.
