Deputy PM Pham Thi Thanh Tra visits and presents gifts to policy-beneficiary families and disadvantaged households in Dong Thap Province.

(DTO) On the afternoon of February 5, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Pham Thi Thanh Tra visited and presented Tet gifts to people with meritorious service, disadvantaged households, and workers in difficult circumstances in Dong Thap Province.

On behalf of the Party, the State, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy PM Pham Thi Thanh Tra extended her warmest Lunar New Year greetings to the leaders of Dong Thap Province and all local residents, wishing every family a peaceful, happy, and prosperous spring season.

Deputy PM Pham Thi Thanh Tra expressed her delight at the remarkable achievements of Dong Thap Province in 2025. She highly appreciated the province’s efforts in restructuring the political system, gradually building a streamlined, effective, and efficient local government. These initial steps have created stability, coherence, and synchronization, forming a crucial foundation for future development. Based on this, Dong Thap has swiftly implemented socioeconomic development tasks and achieved many commendable results.

Deputy PM Pham Thi Thanh Tra expressed her hope that every resident and family will enjoy a more meaningful, warmer, more affectionate, and more prosperous Lunar New Year. She encouraged people to continue striving, overcoming difficulties, improving their livelihoods, and contributing to the development of their hometown and the country. This is also the message and aspiration that the Party, State, and Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front wish to convey to all citizens as spring approaches. She also hoped that the province would continue supporting and motivating the community to overcome challenges and contribute to the socioeconomic development of both the country and Dong Thap Province, building a more prosperous, civilized, and happier Vietnam.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year, Deputy PM Pham Thi Thanh Tra called on Dong Thap to uphold its heroic traditions as a revolutionary land, make extraordinary efforts to bring the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress to life.

The Deputy PM also requested that Dong Thap Province focus on effectively implementing the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, translating its goals and tasks into practical outcomes that help improve the material and mental well-being of the people and promote a more developed, prosperous, and happy region. She further urged the province to swiftly concretize and realize its action programs for carrying out the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, aligning them with local action plans for each specific task with clear objectives and clear roadmaps, and to remain determined to achieve substantive results that contribute to the nation’s overall development.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2026, Deputy PM Pham Thi Thanh Tra presented 100 million VND to the Dong Thap Care Center for People with Meritorious Service, along with 100 gift packages for low-income households, near-poor households, and workers facing financial hardship across the province.

On this occasion, the Deputy PM also visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ba (88 years old, residing in Phong Thuan Quarter, My Phong Ward), whose husband and son are martyrs.
