Dong Thap Expects Intellectuals and Artists to Make Greater Contributions to the Province’s Development
(DTO) On the morning of February 6, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap Province held a gathering with intellectuals, scientists, and artists for the 2026 Binh Ngo Spring. The event was organized to mark the 96th anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026) and to celebrate the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
Attending the event were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Thanh Ngai; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen; Provincial Party Committee Member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Huynh Minh Tuan; along with former provincial leaders from various periods.

The gathering brought together 340 delegates representing intellectuals, scientists, and artists from within and outside the province. The event was conducted in a solemn, practical, and effective manner, creating a warm atmosphere in the early days of the new spring.
During the meeting, intellectuals and scientists shared many heartfelt insights, focusing on solutions to improve human resource quality, strengthening scientific research, technology application, and innovation, and promoting the development of education-training, healthcare, culture, and the arts to meet the province’s development needs in the new phase.

Speaking at the event, Chairman Pham Thanh Ngai provided an overview of the province’s socio-economic development achievements over the past period and expressed confidence that Dong Thap will achieve even more significant results in the coming time.

The Chairman emphasized that 2026 requires a new approach that accelerates technology adoption, innovation, and digital transformation to enhance productivity and effectiveness, especially in the operation of the province’s two-tier government system.

He also urged continued attention to nurturing and promoting the role of intellectuals and artists, as well as proactively communicating and fostering patriotism among the people.

At the same time, the Chairman expressed hope that the province’s intellectual and artistic community will continue to harness collective strength, renew their thinking, and produce more high-quality research projects and artistic works, contributing to promoting the image of Dong Thap’s land and people to domestic and international audiences.
