Dong Thap hosts April 2026 rapporteur conference
(DTO) On the morning of April 1, the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education and the Commission for Mass Mobilization organized the April 2026 Rapporteur Conference. In attendance were Central-level rapporteurs stationed in Dong Thap, provincial-level rapporteurs, and other delegates.
At the conference, delegates were briefed on several key themes, including the socio-economic performance in the first quarter and development prospects for 2026; the outcomes of the 14th Party Central Committee’s Second Plenum; and the results of the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure. Discussions also focused on recent domestic and international developments, specifically the military conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran and its impacts on Vietnam, as well as orientations for communication and propaganda work in the coming period

Regarding propaganda orientation for the coming period, the Provincial Commission for Propaganda and Education and the Commission for Mass Mobilization urged rapporteurs to disseminate the results of the Second Plenum of the 14th Party Central Committee. This includes focusing on the core contents of documents and resolutions discussed and approved during the plenum.
At the same time, rapporteurs were urged to highlight the success of the elections of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure. It was emphasized that this victory is a decisive factor in building and perfecting the Socialist Rule-of-Law State of Vietnam — of the People, by the People, and for the People — while creating a solid political foundation for the country to enter a new stage of development.
Regarding socio-economic development, the key communication task is to highlight the resolve of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government, the Prime Minister, the entire political system, the people, and the business community to achieve a national GDP growth target of 10% or higher in 2026. This objective must be coupled with maintaining macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, and ensuring major economic balances
