(DTO) On the morning of April 29, the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province organized a delegation to lay wreaths and offer incense at the Provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery (Trung An Ward).
The ceremony marked the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026).

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Executive Committee; the provincial National Assembly delegation; and leaders of various departments, mass organizations, the armed forces, and the Veterans’ Association, alongside representatives from My Tho and Trung An wards and Chau Thanh commune.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates laid wreaths and observed a minute of silence to pay their deepest respects to the souls of the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives for national liberation, reunification, and noble international missions.

Following the ritual at the central monument, delegates visited individual graves to light incense in profound gratitude to the martyrs resting at the cemetery.

This annual activity demonstrates the deep gratitude of the Party organization, authorities, and people of Dong Thap toward those who laid down their lives for the nation's independence and freedom.
